Description:
The plant native to Africa. It is a monotypic genus of tropical flowering plant, has a large, rhizomatous. It grows 3~4m in height and has large, popery leaves up to 46cm long.
It bears pale purple flowers and a soft fruit containing a few shiny black seeds. The leaves and seeds have a number of traditional medicinal uses.
