Common Name: Alexandra Palm, King Palm
Synonyms: Ptycosperma Alexandrae
The plant native to Australia. It is a tall, solitary, handsome palm to about 25m tall with a spread of about 2~2.5m and a graceful appearance. The leaves up to about 2m long. Flower are formed below the crownshaft with the creamy flower stalks holding amythest purple flowers. The round fruit about 12mm in diameter, turn bright red at maturity. It is becoming extremely popular in the market.
